Question by Nikola: How do I get my horse to gain weight fast?
How do I get my horse to gain weight fast? My horse isnt too thin but compared to other horses I think that he should gain some weight. So I have been feeding him bread and water melon, is that bad or good for him? Should I feed him something else?? Aside from the melon and bread, he pretty much grazez all day long.
Very useful information… İ would rather want him to get muscles, how do I do that?

1. You don’t want them to gain weight fast, it’s not good for them.
2. You should really not be feeding your horse bread.
Maybe instead of weight you should try and get him to build muscle which will defiantly make him fill out.
However, if you want him to actually gain weight you could try upping his feed or hay amount, or maybe try a weight supplement like Purina Amplify, Cool Calories or something along those lines.
I personally feed my horses Beet Pulp to help with weight. It’s a really good filler and is on the less expensive side!
Good luck with your horse.
Lots and Lots of trotting gives muscle! If you have any hills or uneven ground around you will build a lot of muscle! Then basic dressage work helps a lot to, just get him to bend and build a nice top line and hind end!
Again, good luck and glad I could be of help!
